WASTE OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT
(WEEE RECYCLING)
Shape
OVERVIEW

NEOM Wellbeing is committed to reducing the environmental impact of electrical and electronic waste. This policy outlines our approach to complying with the UK Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations and promoting responsible recycling and reuse of electrical products.

OUR COMMITMENT

We comply with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2013, as amended in 2025.

We ensure that all EEE we place on the UK market is marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol, indicating that it should not be disposed of with general waste.

We provide clear information to our customers on how to return and recycle old electrical items.

What is WEEE?

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) includes any item that has a plug, battery, or cable and is no longer wanted or working. This includes everything from kettles and hairdryers to smart devices and lighting equipment.

Our Responsibilities

As a distributor of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE), NEOM Wellbeing is legally required to:

  • Offer free take-back of old electricals on a like-for-like basis when a customer purchases a new item that performs the same function.
  • Accept WEEE regardless of brand or original purchase location.
  • Provide at least 28 days for customers to return their old item after purchasing a new one.
  • Ensure proper disposal of collected WEEE items

In-Store Take-Back Scheme

Customers purchasing electrical items from our retail stores can return their old equivalent items for recycling. For example, if you buy a new Wellbeing Pod of any size, you can return your old one, even if it’s a different brand.

Alternative Take-Back Options

If you are unable to return your item in-store, we encourage you to use the Distributor Take-Back Scheme (DTS), which funds local authority recycling centres across the UK. You can find your nearest recycling point using the official locator at:
www.recycleyourelectricals.org.uk

This site helps you find over 30,000 UK drop-off points where you can repair, donate, or recycle your old electricals.

Why Recycling Matters

Recycling electricals helps:

  • Recover valuable materials like copper, gold, and aluminium.
  • Prevent hazardous substances from harming the environment.
  • Reduce landfill waste and support sustainable resource use.

What You Can Do

  • Don’t bin it – recycle it!
  • Use our in-store take-back service or visit Recycle Your Electricals.
  • Look for the crossed-out wheelie bin symbol on products – it means they should not be disposed of with general waste.
